In Tudor times spices were only used for the best dishes & drinks and we have taken inspiration from these historic ingredients to brew a unique style of Imperial Stout.
For the 2018 Vintage we have added cinnamon and vanilla to produce a rich, dark and creamy stout. The spices provide balance to the flavours of dark roasted malts to create a complex and characterful beer with notes of ginger, citrus and chocolate. Ideal when paired with spicy meat dishes, strong cheeses and sumptuous puddings, where the beer dances alongside and packs the perfect Tudor punch!
