Chiltern Brewery Tour, Friday August 18th 2017

Friday, 18th Aug 2017

Time: 14:00 - 15:00

There are currently 14 spaces left on this Tour

Our exciting tour provides the opportunity to see behind the scenes of our family brewery which is the oldest in the Chiltern Hills and Buckinghamshire. It is a chance to understand how the wholesome, 100% British hops, malt and barley are used to create the characteristics of our award winning fine ales, and to taste some beers that you might not normally try. Each tour includes an introduction to the art of craft brewing, a brief history of The Chiltern Brewery, a tour of the Brew House and a tutored beer and food tasting with a selection of our locally made chandlery; all set in the convivial surroundings of the Brewery Shop and dining room.

Tours last for approximately 1 hour.

We recommend that you only eat a light lunch beforehand as there are plenty of delicious nibbles to enjoy.

Overview

A warm welcome awaits you on the Chiltern Brewery Tour. We are immensely proud of the beers that we produce and look forward to sharing some of the fascinating secrets behind craft brewing with you. As a family business with over 30 years of brewing tradition we are able to share a wealth of history and knowledge to guide you through the intriguing aspects of the art. We have some inspired ideas about matching food with beers that will impress your family and friends and recommend that you have only a light lunch before the tour so that you have plenty of room left to enjoy the lovely Chiltern Brewery nibbles in the food matching session.

On the Day

The Tour starts at 2pm so you may wish to arrive 10 – 15 minutes beforehand to enjoy a complementary beer whilst you browse around our shop and reception room. The formal part of the tour lasts about 1 hour but many of our guests like to relax for longer over the beer and food. Most people arrange for their “chauffeurs” to pick them up around 3.30pm. Whilst the tour is all on one level, and is therefore suitable for wheelchairs, our courtyard can be uneven in places.
